I hope you’re all doing well! I went to the sponge docks today with my fiancé and some friends. We had a wonderful time, but I was melting because of the heat. Luckily, I was prepared for the weather and set my makeup with powder, as well as a setting spray. I always love coming home and unwinding with some of my favorite skincare products. My skin has been pretty difficult lately so it could use the extra pampering. I thought I’d share some of my skincare Sunday favorites.
First, I take off my makeup with Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water. I love this stuff because it takes the dirt and grime from the day off of my face. However, I always double cleanse just to be sure all of my makeup is removed. I like using this product with premium cotton ovals from Target.
Second, I cleanse my face with the Youth To The People Age Prevention Superfood Cleanser. This is a very gentle cleanser that removes all traces of makeup, dirt, and toxins from the skin without stripping it. I have been very into the cruelty-free and natural skincare/makeup brands lately. I purchased this on a whim about 2 weeks ago because I wanted a more natural cleanser. I am loving it so far because it’s so gentle and effective, but if you wanted to amp it up a bit try using it with your clarisonic or konjac sponge.
After my skin is cleansed, I spritz several sprays of the Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist and let it dry. This mist is so soothing and hydrating for my skin. It is a mixture of coconut and aloe leaf water infused with hibiscus flower petals and rose. Natural salicylic acid found in aloe leaf water reduces redness and blemishes, while the rose tones, hydrates, and softens the skin. I had my best friend try it out the other day — she loved it so much she insisted on going straight to Sephora to buy it for herself!
On Sundays, I like to use a sheet mask. I used the Sephora Collection Rose Eye Mask today because my under eyes could use a little help. I haven’t been sleeping as much as I should lately so the under eye bags are REAL. I left it on for about 15 minutes and then smoothed any excess product into the skin.
Then, I used my favorite retinol product, Resurface by Shani Darden. This product isn’t exactly magic at first use, but it is very effective over time. It helps keep my breakouts at bay and smooth any texture on my skin. I’m also hoping for the anti-aging benefits later on.
I followed that up with several drops of the KORA Organics Noni Glow Face Oil. This stuff actually is MAGIC! It is the only facial oil that I have tried that does not break me out. It keeps my skin hydrated and healthy. I’ve noticed that it minimizes the hyper pigmentation from previous breakouts. It also smells divine and absorbs quickly into the skin.
I like using an eye cream even though I already used an eye mask — just because I’m EXTRA. The eye cream by 100% Pure is such a great deal! You get A LOT of product filled with great ingredients. It is also packaged in a tube, which helps preserve the effectiveness of each ingredient.
Last, but not least, I always condition my lips with Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom. This product smells AMAZING. I literally sit there and smell the tube of lip balm for like 5 minutes every time I use it because it just smells that good. I also love anything Glossier because of their strong dedication to making easy, quality, and affordable products for the everyday woman.
Thank you so much for reading my blog!! Please like this post if you enjoyed it. I’d also love to hear what products you’re enjoying at the moment. I always love to try new things. Hope you have a great week!
