Everyday Red Lip and Glowy Skin

As I was getting ready this morning, I thought I would go out of my “neutral lip” comfort zone and try a bold red color. I wanted something that was wearable for work, but still had a fun pop of color. This look is super easy to do and is great for everyday or a nice date night. I’m really happy with how it turned out! I thought perhaps you guys might find this post useful if you want a glowy makeup look with a pop of color. This is my go to look.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

I go back and forth with primers, but this is definitely one of my staples. I like how it has SPF 15 built into it because it gives me a little extra sun protection. It also helps keep my makeup looking fresh all day long.

Benefit The POREfessional Face Primer

I used this primer in targeted areas that have larger pores on my face. I usually put some in my T-zone and on my cheeks to ensure a smooth and poreless finish.

Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid in Awakened

This is a great lightweight foundation that actually has skin care benefits! I mixed 1 pump of this foundation with 1-2 drops of Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight to make my skin more luminous. I applied this mixture with the Multitasker Brush #45 by Sephora.

Glossier Stretch Concealer in Medium

This is one of my all time favorite concealers because it actually looks like my skin! No cakey mess or creasing. I applied it with my ring finger and blended it out with my foundation brush.

RMS Tinted “Un” Powder in 2-3

I used this powder to set my under eyes, t-zone, and any spots where I put concealer. This is a great powder because it is formulated with the highest quality silica and does not have a flashback in photos.

RMS Buriti Bronzer

I applied this bronzer with my fingers and blended it out with a dense foundation brush. This helps ensure that everything is blended and natural looking. I also put a little bit in the crease of my eyes to create depth. I love this bronzer because it gives my skin a healthy sun kissed glow.

Ilia Multi-Stick in A Fine Romance

This is one of my favorite blushes! It lasts all day long and blends seamlessly into the skin. I blended this blush into my skin with the same brush that I used to blend out my bronzer so everything looks cohesive.

RMS Living Luminizer

I love this product because it actually lives up to the hype! I placed it on the top of my cheekbones, brow bone, cupid’s bow, top of my nose, and the inner corners of my eyes. It makes me feel glowy and radiant all day long.

I used my ring finger to apply Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze to my eyelids. It’s a great base for any bronzy or minimal makeup look. I used a small fluffy eye shadow brush to apply a tiny amount of Benefit Hoola Bronzer in the creases of my eyes to create depth. I also like using this bronzer for contouring my cheekbones. I placed MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in Sweet Heat on the center of my eyelids so it catches the light in photos. It’s a soft peach pink color that can be used on its own or on top of other shadows. I used the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper to create a thin line to enhance the shape of my eyes. I didn’t do a wing because I wanted the red lip to be the focus of this look. I finished my eye look with several coats of Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara.

I filled in any sparse areas in my brows with Tarte Brow Mousse in Rich Brown. Then I went over the entire brow with Glossier Boy Brow in Brown. I love using them together because I feel like my brows look fuller and more polished. I applied Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel to set them in place all day.

I used two products from Ilia for this look. First, I applied a lipstick in Femme Fatale and blended it in with my ring finger. I blotted my lips with a tissue, then repeated the process to create more of a stain. This also helps ensure the longevity of the lipstick. Then, I applied the tinted lip conditioner in Arabian Knights to add a berry tint and hydration to my lips. I love this combo because it’s easy and effortless. I don’t have to worry about my lips smudging or looking too dry.

Let me know in the comments what your go-to products are. Hope everyone has a great  week!
